Holiday kilos? That's not how you get them!

That belt that needs to be loosened, those pants that pinch a little more at the legs. Do you recognize this at the end of the holiday and are you secretly disappointed by this? With these 5 simple tips & tricks you will avoid those holiday kilos and you will still fit in that nice summer dress or those shorts at the end of the holiday.

1 – Keep Size

A beer, wine, ice cream on the terrace, a barbecue at the neighbors or at the campsite. Delicious of course. Don't be too hard on yourself, because no one can sustain that. But keep measure. Do not keep eating when you are full and eat slowly: it takes time for your body to realize that it is too full. About 20 minutes.

2 – Resist temptations

Chips, nuts, cubes of salami and old cheese. Once it's in front of you, it's hard to get rid of it. Resisting temptations becomes a lot easier when you're not confronted with them. So simply make sure you don't have them in your house, those snacks. Not even in the hotel room, cool box or in the car. And don't go shopping when you're hungry. Then the chance that you will come home with handfuls of calorie bombs is greater.

3 – Eat 3 times a day, even during the holidays

During the holidays, people often deviate from their daily eating rhythm and 'graze' all day long. Without them even realizing it. Try to stick to your normal rhythm of eating three times a day as much as possible: breakfast, lunch and dinner. This way you don't have to struggle to get the pounds off at the end of the holiday. It also helps to choose a quiet period in the summer for a detox .

4 – Choose consciously

Throughout the day you make choices, consciously and unconsciously. Also about what you want to eat. It's an art to stop and think about everything you put in your mouth. Give it a try. Ask yourself if you're really hungry for this or if you're just eating it because it's there. Of course you can also choose smarter. An ice cream instead of a stracciatella ice cream from the Italian, for example. Or a piece of melon instead of a bowl of chips. Drink sparkling mineral water with lemon instead of cola.

5 – Move

Okay, we all know: exercise is good for you and helps you maintain your weight. You may not hit the gym or cycle to work during the holidays, but there are plenty of other ways to get active and keep those holiday pounds off. A nice walk or bike ride, or else that fun summer festival. Go play badminton or go to a water park. Or keep fit with chores around the house: ironing, cleaning windows or gardening. So get off that easy chair!
